Boats and Equipment

Randa's Guide Service uses the best boats available. On the saltwaters we use a 1997 Willie 24' Asaltor. This newly designed aluminum hull is dry and fast. With a hardtop it is warm and offers protection from the elements.

Our river boat is a Challenger, with a wide bottom 3 degree hull this sled is a fish'n machine on the Kenai. A great platform to fish from it is among the first of its design. It is very stable.

Finally our drift boat is also a Willie. A Cadillac of drift boats, 20' long, and 6' wide it easily fishes four people for trout and salmon on the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers. This boat is easily converted to a stand up for fly fishers enabling it to safely fish ‘standing up’ with grab rails and separation between casters fore and aft.

Randa's Guide Service believes that a quality experience begins and ends with just that QUALITY. We have spared no expense in providing our clients with the best equipment possible. We use Loomis rods and Shimano reels for salmon. Our halibut rods and reels are best quality. The Penn 113s are loaded with new super small diameter lines. It’s our intention to prevent ruining anyone's day because of failed equipment.
